When drawing up my designs, my biggest frustration is trying to figure out much tolerance is required for fitting parts.  Say I have a  cylinder with a 20mm radius , what radius should I allow for the receiving shaft?  Are there any design principles I should be considering?

I think it would depend on the printer/printhead your using and filament type, ie: temperature etc.

I do a lot of PLA work, and I start with allowing 0.3mm to each surface.  I might need a bit more on complex shaped surfaces.
