Hi i bought an aurora z605 printer kit and got it going but the print laters we going crazy it had a melzi board, i was told to get a ramps 1.4 board which i have i have wited it up but nothing is working. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of printer or board cheers mike

I have not had any experience with the Melzi board, but from what I can see it has the MCU attached to the board. Atmel MCU running Marlin Firmware.

To swap over to a RAMPS you will need an Arduino Mega and upload the Marlin firmware to get it running.
You will also need to configure Marlin to use the RAMPS board.

These two setups at the end of the day are very simular, and you may expreience the same problems with both setups if it is a configuration problem or software causing the problem.

I have never had a hardware problem ( YET ), I usually find it is a configuration or post processor problem.
